Best PL signing: Alexis Sanchez – he’s an outstanding forward that can play across a number of positions. Some say Sanchez had a bad season at Barcelona last year. Just the 19 goals and 10 assists in the league. Awful stuff.
Worst PL signing: Diego Costa. The Brazilian-Spaniard had a great season with Atletico last year, but there’s plenty of evidence it was a one-off. Having seen Costa clog around the lower reaches of La Liga you wonder just how much natural talent there really is. He’s not the ‘worst’ signing in absolute terms, but he may never justify the £32m price tag.
The one thing you are most looking forward to this season: Watching good football at Old Trafford again. There’s no guarantee that Louis van Gaal will transpose the ‘Dutch Way’ at United – it’ll probably be a more pragmatic approach given the lack of quality in wide areas and central midfield – but it certainly won’t be Moyesball. United led the league for crosses last season – about the only area United led anything. Under van Gaal we can at least enjoy multi-dimensional football once again, even if this isn’t the best United squad/team ever.
United player of the year: Robin van Persie
One wish for United this season: Progress. It can’t be anything else really. This is United so limiting expectations to a top four finish does not fit well, but for one season at least that’s enough. Then van Gaal’s United must challenge for the title in 2015/16.
Premier League Champions: I feel sick in answering this but as i’ve said previously it’s like trying to choose wether you want to give up an arm or a leg, so yes sadly i have to choose City. They have brought well this year opposed to the last time they won it and have got rid of all the bad eggs in that dressing room so you can’t look must past them. However they were still the forgotten champions last year, no-one really cared compared to the love in we would have seen if the scouse had won!
Top 4 (in order): Again this makes me feel sick but… city, chelsea, arsenal, scouse just can’t see us breaking into it again with the experience we’ve lost and the lack of signings.
FA Cup Winners: I’ve been saying it for years but all i want is a good cup run again. I will never forget my 1st final in 1990 or the pitch invasion when we beat Oldham that same year. The FA Cup will always have memories for reds and i want a proper cup run. So i’m going to say United. more out of blind loyalty and hope.
CL winners: Is that the competition on Tuesday and Wednesday nights? it’s like that girl that got away isn’t it? if i have to predict i will go for city because if i say it then it might not happen!
PL top scorer: Torres, he’s ex scouse so this year is his year
Best PL signing: Wilfredo Daniel “Willy” Caballero mainly because it will be funny to watch that git that is Joe Hart spit his dummy out for not being number 1 if he get’s dropped for a bloke called Willy
Worst PL signing: Shane Long for £12.5m? Really? Really?
The one thing you are most looking forward to this season: No David Moyes press conferences or gaffes
United player of the year: Ashley Young. Watch him go, watch him go!
One wish for United this season: Off the pitch is as much as a laugh as last season and on the pitch we play attacking football with a smile on our faces. Basically the opposite to the bloody Moyes year!

Premier League Champions: United (if we sign Vidal and a flexible defender). Otherwise Chelsea. Maybe Chelsea anyway but boooo.
Top 4 (in order): No signings for United then: Chelsea, City, Arsenal. United… Decent strengthening then: United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal
FA Cup Winners: United, in order to merk Rio.
CL winners: United, oh no wait….Real Madrid.
PL top scorer: Diego Costa
Best PL signing: Ander Herrera (or Vidal. Or both).
Worst PL signing: No idea. Someone really low-key and under the radar.
The one thing you are most looking forward to this season: United passing the ball in lovely fashion.
United player of the year: DANNY WELBECK (but if the vote’s rigged and he doesn’t win, Juan Mata).
One wish for United this season: Bring in another top level midfielder to help complete us. We’re not far off.
Top 4 (in order): Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal.
FA Cup Winners: Liverpool.
CL winners: Real Madrid
PL top scorer: Daniel Sturridge
Best PL signing: Ander Herrera
Worst PL signing: Rickie Lambert
The one thing you are most looking forward to this season: How the Manchester United players of last season, manage to give that little bit extra in the new season under Louis van Gaal, many had stopped playing under David Moyes. The club needs to get back to where it belongs, near the top.
United player of the year: Juan Mata
One wish for United this season: Successful campaign in league and cups, attacking football, and no plane banners!
