Starting XI
It is disappointing that despite such an illustrious career he will never win the FA Cup but I suppose you can’t have everything.
to stop Yaya Toure‘s shot from rolling over the line, the Dutchman would have been disappointed to see his initial clearance, that led up to the goal, only reach David Silva 40 yards out- a rare error. #Forgiven
John O’ Shea- 5
Up against my favourite Manchester City player, David Silva, the Irishman did okay defensively but was once again anonymous going forward. #Cautious
Rio Ferdinand- 7.5
Having returned in the night on Friday, when his wife went into labour, it was a surprise to see @RioFerdy5 line up against Balotelli & Co. Despite this distraction, he was once again imperious at the back with the incredible reading of the game and athletic ability. It was strange to see him so aggravated at the end of the match, considering his usually calm and composed persona. #Disgruntled
Nemanja Vidic- 5
Despite being my Player of the Year, Vidic hasn’t looked as good as Ferdinand in recent games, having been caught out for Toure & Drogba’s goals. However, considering the proximity in which Yaya intercepted the ball from him, it was inevitable that the leggy midfielder would get round him before he had a chance to catch up. #Static
Patrice Evra- 4
Summed up with his wasteful shot near the end of the match, it seems the Frenchman really is struggling for form, is it time to replace him with the energetic Fabio? #BreakNeeded
Antonio Valencia- 5.5
Having been injured for such a long time, I thought he would inevitably be off the pace until next season. However, he has been in superb form since his return, and this match was only his first indifferent performance. Therefore, I don’t think he can be criticized. #Expected
Paul Scholes- 4
With it possibly being his last Manchester Derby, it was very sad to see him get dismissed for such a petulant foul. Having performed so poorly during his time on the pitch, I suspect his frustration got the better of him. #Disappointing
8 games from retirement, after his 3 match ban?
Park Ji Sung- 6
Apart from putting Berbatov in for his one-on-one, it was a largely innocuous, but nonetheless hardworking, performance from the South Korean. Undoubtedly a brilliant footballer, asking him to replace Rooney was perhaps one step too far. #Realist
Having put in some unbelievably good performances in recent months, it was disappointing to see him make such a costly error. #PlayTheWayYou’reFacing
Nani- 7
The one bright spark in the United team, the Portuguese winger continued his fine form with another great display, in which he was unlucky not to get a goal. #Denied.
Admittedly he didn’t get much service from the midfield but how did he miss? How? #Nightmare
Substitutes
Anderson- 6
Coming on for the silly Paul Scholes, the Brazilian was solid in the middle, where he provided drive and energy. He did well to compensate for our numerical disadvantage but was unable to find that much needed final ball. #Lively
Chicharito- 7
Why didn’t he start? #Bizarre
Fabio Da Silva- N/A
Too little time to judge. #Cameo
Referee
Mike Dean- 7
Left with no choice but to send Scholes off, I thought Dean had a very good game in what could have been a very difficult fixture. Handing out 4 yellows to City and 1 red to United, I thought he dealt well with all disciplinary decisions. #Commended

Agree with all the ratings, overall poor performance by the team which was not helped by personal errors, such as Carrick's poor pass and Berba's two misses.
Its unfortunate but not the end of the world, its all about the league and I would have taken City beating us and winning the FA Cup for us to win the league! Bring on #19!
